Maven Editorial Intelligence

Privacy

Maven Editorial Intelligence (MEI) is an internal review tool run by Maven Communications for Maven staff and the people Maven invites to use it. This page explains what MEI collects and how it is used.

What we collect

  • Account details: your name and work email address. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address, profile photo and a Google account ID with MEI. We never receive your Google password or access to your Gmail, Drive or any other Google data.
  • Content you add: documents you submit for review, brand rules and reference files, and the review results MEI produces.
  • Technical data: cookies that keep you signed in, and error reports that help us fix problems. Error reports are set up to leave out the content of your documents.

How we use it

We use this information only to sign you in, run document reviews, notify you about your reviews, and keep MEI secure and working. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or share it outside Maven except with the service providers below.

Service providers

MEI runs on a small number of providers that process data on Maven's behalf: Supabase (database, file storage, sign-in and sign-in emails), Vercel (hosting), OpenAI (AI review of document text), Sentry (error monitoring), Smartsheet (review tracking) and Google (sign-in and web fonts). OpenAI does not use content sent through its API to train its models.

How long we keep it

We keep documents and review results only as long as Maven needs them to provide the service and keep an audit trail. Your account stays active until an administrator removes your access.
